ADULT JUDO PROGRAMS
Whether you’re new to judo or returning after time away, the Ottawa Judo Club offers two structured adult programs tailored to different experience levels. These classes improve physical fitness, technical skills, and tactical understanding while promoting judo’s core values—respect, discipline, and perseverance.
Participants benefit from a supportive training environment, expert instruction, and opportunities for personal growth, self-defense, and even competition if desired.
Judo is a full-body workout that enhances strength, coordination, balance, and flexibility, all in a welcoming and inclusive community.
Adult Judo Development
This program is ideal for newcomers and recreational judoka, focusing on foundational techniques, basic fitness, and safe progression. Students gain confidence and develop the coordination and strength needed for judo, while training in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Whether your goal is fitness, learning self-defense, or exploring a new challenge, this program gives you the tools to grow at your own pace.

Testimonial
“I started judo as a child, earning my blue belt in my youth before life pulled me in other directions. Years later, in my 40s, I returned to the tatami—older, maybe slower, but with a renewed passion and perspective. Through dedication, training, and the support of a great community, I worked my way back and recently earned my black belt. It’s been a long, humbling, and deeply rewarding journey—and it’s far from over.”
LTAD Model Alignment
Active for Life – Both programs support a lifelong connection to judo through recreational and competitive pathways, and help individuals transition into coaching, officiating, or leadership roles in the sport.
